Java. Given that there is still no indication that the conflict between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas would end, four Indonesians who had been evacuated from the occupied West Bank and its surrounding territories had reached Jakarta safely on Sunday.
The four evacuees, according to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, left a safehouse in Jerusalem and proceeded by land over the Jordan River borders to reach Amman, the capital of Jordan.
In Israel and Palestine, there are still more than a hundred Indonesians living. These people won't be evacuated because they believe they are still safe. Without their permission, Indonesian citizens cannot be forced to leave the country.
There are still 136 Indonesians living in the West Bank and its neighboring areas. According to a press release from the Foreign Affairs Ministry, "They have decided to stay."

Ten of Indonesia's residents are currently being tried to be expelled from the Gaza Strip. Recently, the UN issued a warning, stating that Gaza was in danger of running out of essential resources, including food, water, and energy.

3 of the 10 Indonesians stranded in Gaza were volunteers, according to a report released by the Foreign Affairs Ministry last week. Two Indonesian families who married locals make up the others.

Regarding the Israel-Palestine dispute, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi had communicated with a few of her counterparts. This includes, among others, Hadja Lahbib of Belgium and Zambry Abdul Kadir of Malaysia. During these calls, Indonesia emphasized how important it is to keep Gaza's civilian population safe.

Retno also recently spoke with the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Mirjana Spoljaric, on evacuation efforts. Josep Borrell, the chief diplomat for the European Union, spoke with Retno on Monday as well.

Retno posted a statement on social media on Monday, stating, "I reiterated the importance of prioritizing humanitarian issues, as the situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate." She was referring to her phone conversation with Borrell.
